A recorded trail of my life for those I love — down the roads that shaped who I became.

Work Sites: Clinch River (The future is now) | Oak Ridge (The past defines us)

Clinch River | Oak Ridge

This is a case of killing 4 birds with 1 stone. I needed to test the bike after a recent fix, I wanted to check out the future Clinch River site, I wanted to see what I could see in Oak Ridge, given it's history and how it interlocks with ours. And finally, I wanted to do the Devils Triangle. Surprisingly, all 4 objectives achieved.

The scenery around Oak Ridge is different than anything you see around Tennessee. The roads and bridges are made with purpose. I wasn't able to get close to any of the sites in oak ridge.

There was once a time getting this close to the Y-12 National Security Complex would have been unthinkable. Yet here I am on Bear Creek Road at the entrance!

As if that wasn't enough I decided to go around the side and see how close I could get to Y-12 A mile or two riding out of the complex I stumbled upon what was once highly secured guard shacks. You had guns pointed at you if you got too close during it's hay-day. I have a video of the Devils Triangle, I will post when possible.
