If you recall when visiting the Fontana Dam it was discussed that it was the largest concrete dam east of the Mississippi. But somehow Kentucky was the largest dam in work's fleet. How? Well, now we know how...

Much of Kentucky Dam (similar to it's neighbor Barkley Dam) is an earthen gravity dam. (not all concrete like Fontana.)

Yet another Dam you can ride across. I thought just 2, well this is the 3rd or 4th and I would bet more are to come. I'm shocked! While you can ride across the dam and many people do for fun or work, it is not road through to keep going, you cross then come back across when done.
