A recorded trail of my life for those I love — down the roads that shaped who I became.

Kentucky Site 1 Wolf Creek

Wolf Creek Dam Wolf Creek? But that's owned and maintained by the Army Corps of Engineers! Right?

Correct! But who do you think runs the power generation from the dam? You guessed it! So it's on the list. And it made for an hour longer ride to the hotel! But it was worth it.

The Dam (Hey watch you mouth!) "Look we aren't starting that again, just stop!" (sorry)

Again, 😜 the dam is quite impressive in itself. When you ride up on it you are struck with a sense of awe. And I was looking down on it, quite literally!

They are working on repairing a floodgate during my visit, you can see the barge with the equipment and replacement gate in the background.

It is a very nice dam, and incredibly popular with the locals. Apparently they have a hard time convincing the boaters not to go near the outlet on the bottom, it causes all kinds of troubles. You'd think people would not be dumb but then again.... God is great, beer is good, people are crazy!

Well, I don't have much more on the dam, here are a few sites you can check out if you'd like.
