Work Sites Trip 2 P1. Watts Bar Nuclear
The second work site trip actually took me to 3 individual sites, Watts Bar Nuclear, Watts Bar Dam (Hey watch your mouth!) and Kingston Fossil. Approximately 250 mile trip, 4 hours and a beautiful day.
This is Watts Bar Nuclear. WBN is much more in the in the middle of nowhere than Sequoya. I wish I would have stopped the minute I saw the condensation in the air as clouds from miles away over the trees and taken a picture. It was impressive to say the least. Oh well, maybe I will do that for a future site visit, got another nuclear site in the plans.
I will say one of the first things I noticed upon arriving was how ‘official’ the entrance looks compared to SQN. (See the SQN visit here.) While the exterior isn’t filled with security, boy you don’t want to go near the interior fence! Guard stands all over the place! The hum was much less here than SQN, but it is absolutely present. The majesty of it sticks on me after. It is truly an impressive site. Oh and look at that! Close! Closer! Yup more deer! Bambi and his mom!
